YOU are invited to participate in the 15th annual Salmon Homecoming Celebration, Friday through Sunday, September 7–9. The Celebration is taking place in Waterfront Park on the Seattle Downtown Waterfront, just south of the Seattle Aquarium. The Salmon Homecoming Alliance is presenting this event and we hope to include as many environmental education and natural resource management programs as possible. The focus of the event is to provide awareness and understanding about the importance of the salmon resource and the watershed upon which we all depend. Presentations and displays should be interactive if possible. This is a great opportunity for public outreach and to recruit volunteers. Direct fundraising however, is not allowed. We expect 400 4th-5th grade students for the School Day program on Friday morning, 150 high school students for the Environmental Career Fair on Friday afternoon, and hundreds of visitors over the weekend.

Spaces will be located in Waterfront Park and canopy will be provided. Set up must be accomplished by 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 7 to accommodate the school day program. Each space is 10 ft. wide x 10 ft. deep. Tables must be staffed at all times during the hours of 10am–5pm on Friday and 11am6pm Saturday and Sunday. Event hours will go later, and although there is security on site, your display/booth supplies should be secured or removed each evening. Displays must be removed from the premises before 10 a.m. Monday, September 10. The Salmon Homecoming Celebration and Pow Wow assume no responsibility for your display.

Up to one table and two chairs will be available to borrow from the event stock. Please indicate on your application if you will be requesting use of this equipment. Please be sure to provide your own hand truck, carts, etc. for loading and unloading.
