15th Annual Salmon Homecoming Celebration
September 7-9, 2007, at Waterfront Park, Downtown Seattle Waterfront

WHAT:
          Celebrate the Salmon at the 2007 Salmon Homecoming Celebration.  The celebration integrates culture, environmental awareness, fun and building bridges between communities to increase awareness of the importance of salmon in our lives.  American Indian music & dancing, pow wow, environmental booths, Environmental Career Fair, arts & craft vendors, and a salmon barbeque are all part of the three-day event. 

WHEN:
          Friday through Sunday, September 7-9, 2007.  School Day activities begin at 9:30am on Friday.  Friday’s activities end at 6pm.  Saturday: 10am - 10pm; Sunday: 10am – 6pm.  (Times are approximate). 
Note: The Salmon Homecoming Forum will be September 17 at Golden Gardens Bathhouse.

Waterfront Park between Pier 59 and Pier 57 on Seattle’s Downtown Waterfront.   Directions to the park are available at http://www.seattle.gov/parks/parkspaces/WaterfrontPark/directions.htm.

COST:           Free admission.  Everyone is welcome!

             The Celebration is presented by the Salmon Homecoming Alliance, with major sponsorship support by King County, the Tulalip Tribes, Seattle Public Utilities, Muckleshoot Tribe, Seattle City Light, Seattle Parks and Recreation, the Lummi Nation, the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission, the Puget Sound Partnership, the Washington Forest Protection Association and the Seattle Aquarium. Salmon Homecoming is dedicated to building bridges between tribal and non tribal communities, celebrating the significance of salmon in our lives and working together to ensure Pacific salmon survive.
